096 Nesl naši vinu a hřích

Matouš 26:40-44 40Potom přišel k učedníkům a nalezl je spící, i řekl Petrovi: “To jste se mnou nemohli bdít jedinou hodinu? 41Bděte a modlete se, abyste nevešli do pokušení. Duch je sice ochotný, ale tělo slabé.” 42Opět podruhé odešel a pomodlil se, říkaje: “Můj Otče, neníli možné, aby [mne] tento [kalich] minul, musímli ho vypít, staň se tvá vůle.” 43Pak šel a nalezl je opět spící, protože měli velmi těžká víčka. 44I nechal je, znovu odešel a pomodlil se potřetí, říkaje [opět] stejnou prosbu.
Again the Son of God was seized with superhuman agony, and fainting and exhausted, He staggered back to the place of His former struggle. His suffering was even greater than before. As the agony of soul came upon Him, “His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”…. DA 689.3
DA – Touha věků 689.3 Božího Syna se znovu zmocnila nadlidská bolest. Zemdlený a vyčerpaný se s námahou vrátil zpět na místo, kde před chvílí zápasil. Utrpení se stupňovalo. Prožíval smrtelnou úzkost a Lukáš 22,44 “jeho pot začal být jako kapky krve, které kanuly na zem.”…. (srv. TV 440.4)
A short time before, Jesus had stood like a mighty cedar, withstanding the storm of opposition that spent its fury upon Him…. Now His voice was heard on the still evening air, not in tones of triumph, but full of human anguish. The words of the Saviour were borne to the ears of the drowsy disciples, “O My Father, if this cup may not pass away from Me, except I drink it, Thy will be done.” DA 689.4
DA – Touha věků 689.4 Krátce předtím stál Ježíš jako mohutný cedr a čelil bouři protivenství, která na Něho zuřivě dorážela…. Tentokrát Jeho hlas nezněl v nočním tichu jako vítězná píseň, ale ozývala se v něm lidská úzkost. Ospalí učedníci zaslechli, jak Spasitel volá: Matouš 26,42 “Můj Otče, neníli možné, aby [mne] tento [kalich] minul, musímli ho vypít, staň se tvá vůle.” (srv. TV 440.5)
The first impulse of the disciples was to go to Him; but He had bidden them tarry there, watching unto prayer. When Jesus came to them, He found them still sleeping. Again He had felt a longing for companionship, for some words from His disciples which would bring relief, and break the spell of darkness that well-nigh overpowered Him. But their eyes were heavy; “neither wist they what to answer Him.” His presence aroused them. They saw His face marked with the bloody sweat of agony, and they were filled with fear. His anguish of mind they could not understand. “His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men.” Isaiah 52:14. DA 690.1
DA – Touha věků 690.1 Učedníci k Němu chtěli jít, ale vzpomněli si na Jeho slova, aby tam zůstali, bděli a modlili se. Když se k Nim vrátil, zase spali. Opět pocítil touhu po společenství, očekával od učedníků slova útěchy, která by rozptýlila tísnivou temnotu, jež Ho svírala. Jim se však zavíraly oči Marek 14,40 “a nevěděli, co by mu odpověděli”. Kristova přítomnost je postavila na nohy. Po tváři Mu stékal krvavý pot utrpení. Učedníci se zděsili. Jeho duševní muka nemohli pochopit. Izajáš 52,14 (B21) „…Nelidsky byl napohled zohaven – už ani člověku nebyl podoben.” (srv. TV 441.1)
Turning away, Jesus sought again His retreat, and fell prostrate, overcome by the horror of a great darkness. The humanity of the Son of God trembled in that trying hour. He prayed not now for His disciples that their faith might not fail, but for His own tempted, agonized soul. The awful moment had come—that moment which was to decide the destiny of the world. The fate of humanity trembled in the balance. Christ might even now refuse to drink the cup apportioned to guilty man. It was not yet too late. He might wipe the bloody sweat from His brow, and leave man to perish in his iniquity. He might say, Let the transgressor receive the penalty of his sin, and I will go back to My Father. Will the Son of God drink the bitter cup of humiliation and agony? Will the innocent suffer the consequences of the curse of sin, to save the guilty? The words fall tremblingly from the pale lips of Jesus, “O My Father, if this cup may not pass away from Me, except I drink it, Thy will be done.” DA 690.2
DA – Touha věků 690.2 Ježíš od nich opět odešel stranou a přemožený hrůzou strašlivé temnoty padl na zem. Lidství Božího Syna se v této těžké chvíli chvělo úzkostí. Tentokrát neprosil za své učedníky, aby neochabovali ve víře, ale za sebe, aby vydržel duševní muka a odolal pokušení. Nadešel onen hrozný okamžik, chvíle, ve které se rozhodovalo o budoucnosti světa. Osud lidstva visel na vlásku. Kristus stále ještě mohl odmítnout kalich určený hříšnému člověku. Ještě nebylo pozdě. Mohl si setřít z čela krvavý pot a nechat člověka zahynout v jeho nepravosti. Mohl říci: Ať je přestupník sám potrestán za svůj hřích, já se vrátím k Otci. Vypije nevinný Boží Syn hořký kalich ponížení a utrpení? Vezme na sebe následky kletby hříchu, aby zachránil viníka? Z bledých a rozechvělých Ježíšových rtů se ozvalo: Matouš 26,42 “Otče můj, nemůže-li mě tento kalich minout, ale musím ho vypít, ať se stane tvoje vůle!” (srv. TV 441.2)
Three times has He uttered that prayer. Three times has humanity shrunk from the last, crowning sacrifice. But now the history of the human race comes up before the world’s Redeemer. He sees that the transgressors of the law, if left to themselves, must perish. He sees the helplessness of man. He sees the power of sin. The woes and lamentations of a doomed world rise before Him. He beholds its impending fate, and His decision is made. He will save man at any cost to Himself. He accepts His baptism of blood, that through Him perishing millions may gain everlasting life. He has left the courts of heaven, where all is purity, happiness, and glory, to save the one lost sheep, the one world that has fallen by transgression. And He will not turn from His mission. He will become the propitiation of a race that has willed to sin. His prayer now breathes only submission: “If this cup may not pass away from Me, except I drink it, Thy will be done.” DA 690.3
DA – Touha věků 690.3 Těmito slovy se Spasitel modlil třikrát. Třikrát se Jeho lidská přirozenost zděsila poslední vrcholné oběti. Najednou se Mu před očima promítají dějiny lidstva. Vidí, že pokud budou přestupníci Božího zákona ponecháni sami sobě, zahynou. Vidí bezmocnost člověka a moc hříchu. Vyvstávají před Ním bída a nářky hynoucího světa. Uvědomuje si, k jakému konci lidstvo neodvratně spěje, a je rozhodnut. Zachrání člověka za každou cenu. Přijímá svůj krvavý křest, aby mohly skrze Něj miliony hynoucích lidí získat věčný život. Opustil nebeské nádvoří, kde vládne čistota, štěstí a sláva, aby zachránil jednu ztracenou ovci — jeden svět, který padl do hříchu díky přestoupení. Své poslání splní. Stane se smírčí obětí za lidstvo, které se rozhodlo pro hřích. V Jeho modlitbě je vyjádřena naprostá odevzdanost: Matouš 26,42 “Otče můj, nemůže-li mě tento kalich minout, ale musím ho vypít, ať se stane tvoje vůle!” (srv. TV 441.3)
Having made the decision, He fell dying to the ground from which He had partially risen. Where now were His disciples, to place their hands tenderly beneath the head of their fainting Master, and bathe that brow, marred indeed more than the sons of men? The Saviour trod the wine press alone, and of the people there was none with Him. DA 693.1
DA – Touha věků 693.1 Ježíš se již téměř zvedl, ale když se s konečnou platností rozhodl, znovu padl k zemi jako mrtvý. Kde byli učedníci, že nepodložili svému zesláblému Mistrovi hlavu a nesvlažili Jeho nadlidsky ztrápené čelo? Spasitel šlapal v kádi vinného lisu sám a nikdo z lidí s Ním nebyl (viz Izajáš 63,3). (srv. TV 441.4)
But God suffered with His Son. Angels beheld the Saviour’s agony. They saw their Lord enclosed by legions of satanic forces, His nature weighed down with a shuddering, mysterious dread. There was silence in heaven. No harp was touched. Could mortals have viewed the amazement of the angelic host as in silent grief they watched the Father separating His beams of light, love, and glory from His beloved Son, they would better understand how offensive in His sight is sin. DA 693.2
DA – Touha věků 693.2 Bůh však trpěl se svým Synem. Andělé sledovali Spasitelův smrtelný zápas. Viděli svého Pána v obklíčení satanských sil. Svírala Jej hrozivá úzkost a obava. V nebesích panovalo ticho. Neozval se ani jediný tón harfy. Kdyby lidé viděli ohromený údiv andělů, kteří s bolestí a zármutkem sledovali, jak Otec odvrací od svého milovaného Syna paprsky světla, lásky a slávy, pochopili by, jak hluboce se Bohu protiví hřích. (srv. TV 442.1)
In this awful crisis, when everything was at stake, when the mysterious cup trembled in the hand of the sufferer, the heavens opened, a light shone forth amid the stormy darkness of the crisis hour, and the mighty angel who stands in God’s presence, occupying the position from which Satan fell, came to the side of Christ. The angel came not to take the cup from Christ’s hand, but to strengthen Him to drink it, with the assurance of the Father’s love. He came to give power to the divine-human suppliant…. DA 693.3
DA – Touha věků 693.3 V této rozhodující chvíli, kdy šlo o všechno a v rukou Trpitele se chvěl tajemný kalich, se otevřela nebesa a prozářila temnotu strašlivého okamžiku. Ke Kristu přistoupil mocný anděl, který přebývá v Boží přítomnosti a zastává místo padlého satana. Anděl nepřišel proto, aby vzal Kristu z ruky kalich hořkosti. Přišel Jej ujistit o Otcově lásce a povzbudit Ho, aby kalich vypil. Přišel posílit pokorně prosícího bohočlověka…. (srv. TV 442.2)
Christ’s agony did not cease, but His depression and discouragement left Him. The storm had in nowise abated, but He who was its object was strengthened to meet its fury. He came forth calm and serene. A heavenly peace rested upon His bloodstained face. He had borne that which no human being could ever bear; for He had tasted the sufferings of death for every man. DA 694.1
DA – Touha věků 694.1 Kristovo utrpení tím neskončilo, ale sklíčenost a tíseň se rozplynuly. Bouře neutichla, ale Ježíš, proti němuž byly její vlny namířeny, se vzchopil a nabral sílu, aby mohl čelit její zuřivosti. Byl klidný a vyrovnaný. Na Jeho zkrvavené tváři spočinul nebeský pokoj. Snášel to, co by nikdo z lidí nikdy nevydržel, neboť zakoušel utrpení smrti za každého člověka. (srv. TV 442.3)
The power that inflicted retributive justice upon man’s substitute and surety, was the power that sustained and upheld the suffering One under the tremendous weight of wrath that would have fallen upon a sinful world. Christ was suffering the death that was pronounced upon the transgressors of God’s law…. 5BC 1103.2
5BC – Biblický komentář, 5. svazek 1103.2 Moc, která uvalila trest spravedlnosti na zástupce a ručitele člověka, byla zároveň mocí, která podepřela a podržela Toho, který trpěl pod hroznou tíhou hněvu, který měl dopadnout na hříšný svět. Kristus zakusil smrt, která je vyřčená nad přestupníky Božího zákona….
…No sorrow, no agony, can measure with that which was endured by the Son of God. 5BC 1103.3
5BC – Biblický komentář, 5. svazek 1103.3 … Žádné utrpení, žádná muka se nemohou měřit s tím, co vytrpěl Boží Syn.
Man has not been made a sin-bearer, and he will never know the horror of the curse of sin which the Saviour bore…. Human nature can endure but a limited amount of test and trial. The finite can only endure the finite measure, and human nature succumbs; but the nature of Christ had a greater capacity for suffering; for the human existed in the divine nature, and created a capacity for suffering to endure that which resulted from the sins of a lost world. 5BC 1103.4
5BC – Biblický komentář, 5. svazek 1103.4 Člověk nebyl učiněn, aby byl nositelem hříchu, a proto nikdy nepozná hrůzu prokletí, jež nesl Spasitel…. Lidská přirozenost může snést jen omezené množství zkoušek a utrpení. Může snášet jen omezenou míru, než podlehne. Kristova přirozenost však měla větší kapacitu trpět. Protože byla součástí božské přirozenosti, byla schopná snášet utrpení, které bylo důsledkem hříchů ztraceného světa.
